Reading Alone

Insanely Hilarious

A book in my head, my eyes scan close,
A lovely and perfect comfort dose.
A blanket on my lap and a dim light to read,
And a cup of coffee is all I need.

Away from the past, hiding from the future,
To my heart, it's a beautiful departure.
Lost in those words, all alone.
Even though just words, they have a tone.

Reading through the night,
The moonlight is pretty bright.
Feeling their emotions, meeting them again,
Is something that can't be disheartened, even by the rain.

I can feel myself interested,
By the future of those to whom I'm invested.
No matter how bad the tragedy,
It's always replaced by comedy.

Spot on, no tragedy, no comedy, and probably vice versa. As long as coffee is in abundance, life is good.
