I'll Wait

Tayama

Emotional immaturity you radiate…

Your uncomfortableness makes me uncomfortable…

Your stunted growth is evident by your cruelty…

The abuse you bore…you wear on your face…

You laugh when someone cries…

To try and hold you makes me feel the pain that you must endure…

In your room, I hear you crying into a pillow…when I knock…you giggle…

What they did to you, I’ll never know…yet believe evil exists by what you show…

I'll love you from afar…and when you glance my way…

I will smile back and tell you, yes, I do love you…I will wait to touch you…I will be your pillow when you’re ready to cry into me…

You are not theirs anymore…

You know I took care of all that…because I wanted to…I did not have to…

Yet you are worthy, and they were not…now I’ll sit over here and wait…

I hear you when you look into the mirror, for your pain is audible...

What do you see?

You did not deserve it…it had nothing to do with you…

Evil is rarely selective in its pain; its purpose is to inflict it…

We are in its path, or we are not…

The residue from it has no schedule…

Nor do I…

Or does love…so I’ll wait and come closer when you want me to…

Stephanie…they will never hurt you again…I love you.
