What A Day

Luv2laff107

The night falls,
The darkness crawls,
Fast asleep, not a peep.
It’s a quiet still,
not a rustle, not a scatter,
not even a pitter-patter.
Only hours away,
before the black turns gray.
The stars will dim
The sun will rise
It’s amazing how some nights
the time just flies
People stretching, offering good mornings,
only five minutes until the coffee
starts pouring.
It’s time for work, time for school,
 Oh my God,
I just missed my carpool.
Oh great, get out of the way,
already such a stressful day.
I’m in a rush, I have to hurry,
grab the keys, time to scurry.
I can’t believe it, again I’m late,
mother of mercy, its ten after eight.
Oh shoot, the boss is in,
if he catches me again, it'll be my skin.
Should I face the music or should I hide,
what to do, I can’t decide.
I don’t care,
I’m out of here
Far away, off to play
To the beach,
To ride the waves,
To soak up the sun and build sand caves.
Climb a mountain,
hang from a cliff,
if they saw me now, they'd be in a tiff.
So peaceful in my heart,
so light on my toes,
I’m feeling so happy,
so free of my woes, so…
Wait, oh no, what’s that beeping,
Holy moly am I still sleeping??
I just can’t believe it, it’s all a dream,
sucks for me, don’t you agree!!
