The Pendulum Song

J.H.Byron-Nuel

I feel as though I’m falling like a stone

Falling to the depths of my soul

Oh, I know I must let it go

What I have I must let it go

Sitting here as the pendulum swings

Angels in my dreams demons though they seem

Free me from what binds me to this life

Oh, I know I must carry on

Follow the sun onto the next day

Sitting here as the pendulum swings

The storm o’er the river rages on and on

As the stone drags me down

I can’t see the light anymore

Darkness is my friend forevermore

Sitting here as the pendulum swings.
