Life of Loss

Alishba Anhar

I can see them.

I can hear them.

I can feel them.

What are these voices in my head ?
Why are they taking over?

Friendships.

They're going.

No

STOP

PLEASE

Why me?

Was my life a lie?

Johnny Johnny yes papa but papa doesn't listen anymore!
Roses are red, Violets are blue but all the flowers in the heavens of Earth are now bleak.

Why is no one speaking, moving, living?
Why has life stopped?
Why have all smiles faded?

Nothing stays. Everything goes.
Things and possessions are all materialistic.
They have no value.

Money clothes, wealth, status.
Yet the world revolves around them.
The real gold is always taken for granted
