I’m blocked yet again by Teddy Fifteen.
Yep – the fifteen probably says it all:
Immaturity is here – this is green
With use of censorship which should appall:
There’s no commitment to freedom of speech.
I’m not anti-censorship if it’s just
With racist, sexist language beyond reach,
But these random blocks fill me with disgust.
I never block anyone nor delete
A current conversation or debate,
And what you won’t get from me is a bleat
Just because something there makes me irate.
You will get strong argument, that’s for sure.
Make me uncomfortable, I will respond
For all to see and cogitate, then cure
Themselves of misguided concepts – not conned.

In life we come across people like this who just think that they are right every time Dave and will not listen to others without wanting to understand.
I am quite happy to hear all points of view but will not necessarily agree with them but will not ignore them as sometimes they may be right.
As I say 'Apathy can be a great weapon'.
Andy
Thanks for that, Andy - hypothetically, if all debate were banned then no progress could occur anywhere - but especially in society.......... Welcome back the dark ages......
I think you might have a few people on your side in the case of apathy - most certainly me!
I don't have a problem with the block button, I have used it myself on very rare occasions and no doubt have been blocked myself .. we each have different tolerances and ways of dealing/responding to things that frustrate, offend or annoy us ........ rant over ..... Neville
Point taken, Nev - it just ain't my way.
Hopefully no more rants.
To your point Nev: Amazing timing - I today witnessed a post (one of several) which could quite legitimately lead the poet in receipt to use the block button...... not the sa.......
Debate is great! Good one DD.
I have a hard time with people that are so thin skinned that it is like walking on eggshells around them. I respect others but don't like political correctness. Have we all become so sensitive that we can't speak our minds but have to hide our thoughts and feelings.
Not sure Soren, but I don't think the little voice which seems to sit in most people's heads and advises caution doesn't appear to reside in mine...
Review and edit:
" I think the little voice which seems to sit in most people's heads and advise caution doesn't appear to reside in mine..."
(eliminate double negative)
