Faithful Revenge

Strainm

The mother gives the girl a shake.

And screams I've made a bad mistake

The only other sounds the break

Of distant waves and birds awake

The girl is mad, angry, and deep in her vengeful thoughts

But she has promises to keep

Tormented with nightmares, She never sleeps

Revenge is a promise a girl would keep

She rises from her cursed bed.

With thoughts of violence in her head

A flash of rage and she sees red

Without a pause, I turned and fled.

I hear her yell my name as I run

I hear her yell that the fun had just begun

I run as far as I can before I have to say I'm done

The last thing I see before I black out is the rising sun
