I hate racism but let's look at the history
Where it started and taking the knee
It originated in a 2016 American Football game apparently
Colin Kaepernick and his teammate
Going against racism hate
You'd initially think great
Then they start to do it in football and the Premier League
You start to question but why a knee?
This really just about racism or could it be
Another agenda
Taking the knee means to submit
Doesn't seem a very powerful gesture
It doesn't seem to fit
You start to wonder about the true meaning of it
It takes you a simple google search to see
It's ties to Freemasonry
Then it doesn't seem to be about racism at all
Kneeling for racism?
Shouldn't people be up from their knees and standing tall?
More like taking a knee for a Mason
I know it sounds crazy but I taught myself to question everything
Being controversial isn't always done for shock
Sometimes it's done to make you think

- Comment from author about the poem: I stand against Racism and everything about it, "stand" though. Kneeling is the wrong message and hopefully my poem makes sense as to why.
