Worthy

emengee28

Tell me how to carry on

When all hope seems lost.

When letting go seems like a good option,

But baby, at what cost?

I think about the times I wanted to quit

But still I chose to fight.

I’d like to think it was worth it

Because to me, it felt right.

But letting go, you hardly looked my way

You pushed me to a corner.

You didn’t want to continue this,

So let me be the mourner

And say…

I think about that times if I was worthy

Of your love? Was your love strong enough?

I think about the times that I thought you’re worthy

But I felt like maybe it’s too much for you,

To see this through…

Tell me how to carry on

And let me breathe

The air as if it will fill the void

Of the pain that’s underneath.

Oh I try to believe…

I think about the times I’m drowning

In my tears, though I have to ascend above it.

I’d like to think I’m getting better and better each day

In forgetting you. And baby, I will commit.

I think about the times I made myself worthy

I gave you my all… Baby, don’t you know?

I think about the times when I convince myself you’re worthy

And maybe I was wrong… you need some time to grow.

It took me some time to accept my worth

That I’m worth more than what you gave to me.

I can see clearly now, the problem that lies within.

But baby, if we’re meant to be, then we will be.

Oh yes, I still believe…

That someday, I’ll find that I’m truly worthy

And that I’m worth fighting for. I ain’t worth letting go.

Someday, I’ll find myself someone worthy.

And if it’s really you…then let those feelings flow.

Make me feel worthy.

Like I used to give all my love to you.

Make me feel worthy.

Show me your love is something true.

Make me feel worthy.

‘Coz I’m tired of doing everything for you.

Make me feel worthy.

You know in your heart what you need to do.
