Hope has Wings

J.H.Byron-Nuel

Thinking back on how it used to be.  Feeling like a lifetime has passed me by. Dreaming of a love from yesterday.  Dancing in that fragrant memory.  Hope has wings and it flies away.  Time flows on and a change will come (hold on). I can still see the look in your eyes.  The way you once looked at me.  I wish I could turn back time and spend one more day with you.  All the years that stand between us.  There is no going back.  All I want is to see you smile.  If only in my dreams.  Hope has wings and it flies away.  Time flows on.  A change will come.  (Hold on)   Letting go of a hope that’s flown away.  Feeling the gray emptiness inside. Singing a song of a love gone cold.  Hope has wings, it’ll fly my way again someday.

Beautiful, makes me think of a woman I once knew and now don't.

At the time I was going through a break up and I thought of my old high school girlfriend. It was a song at that time.

Lost love is beautiful and tragic all at once. Well captured. May your heart know peace and joy again.

It has and then lost again Thank you for reading my song. That’s what it was.
