Spiritual Warfare

Hann

I woke up feeling the clasp of an unknown

It took the face of an old hag I've known

her snaky tongue whisper in my ear

words I couldn't bear to hear

her long hands crept up on me

Getting in through the window I see

"At last, I have found your home"

I was paralyzed in fear and doom

Calling my parents who were asleep

I started to weep

Calling the Lord in my mind

He never left me behind

In a snap, she vanished

thank God the battle's finished

But the words of the demon keep me wondering

Are they returning?

Then I remember the words of Our Lady of La Salette-

"Did you say your prayers well?"

My soul froze for a minute

I could not keep my mind on it-

This horror kept me up all night

This terror wakes me up in fright

I then ask St. Michael the Archangel

for defense against the devil

I played Gregorian chants-

Feels like a lullaby to me, an infant

My soul rested after this spiritual attack

Certainly, they won't be coming back
