Lost Soul

Jeannie

A once beautiful mind

now consumed by

delusions of reality.

When did you start to falter?

Gone unnoticed until it became

troublesome, painful.

You have made your

choices. Alarming

and illogical.

Deceived yourself, believing

you want help. Rejecting support.

No ambition to overcome destructive doings.

Do you not want to live ?

Freed from the chains that bind you.

Find yourself, lost soul.

Sometimes people just lose their way, no rhyme, no reason. Sad is the right word.

    • Jeannie

Yes, sometimes that is true, but my daughter suffers from substance abuse, has mental health issues and the last few months has become increasingly worse. Last few weeks, I have almost lost her twice. She just doesn't think she has a problem, everything is okay.

That's when you need outside help and quick.

        • Jeannie

Oh yes. We have all kinds of professional outside help now. As of today she is baker acted (2nd time in 3 weeks) until Monday in a hospital. Now we are trying to get her into a treatment center when she is released. She has to do it voluntary. She can go but if decides she does not want to stay, she doesn't have to. Even if court mandated, she leaves they put her back in. Get this, the treatment centers talk to patient, without input from family, and then makes assessment what type of treatment. She LIES. We talked to social worker where she is now, they had no idea how bad it is. They believed what she told them. They were recommending outpatient treatment. She doesn't do go now to her group therapy or psyhcologist. Sorry to vent problems to you, but thank you for listening.

She needs to be with people who she can't lie to because they've been through her hell. All the professionals in the world are great, but not as great as the actual people who have trod in her shoes and survived. These people will tell you, she maybe hasn't reached rock bottom yet, and when she does, they'll pick her up. Keep fighting for her.

Thank you Paul, I appreciate that. A little good news, is she has accepted to go into treatment center. As long as she stays. She will be with people who have been in her shoes.

                Good stuff, onwards and upwards.
