Dawn of the new

Inkdeep

I empathise,
With all the villains.
Whosoever has been wronged beyond.

It doesn't matter,
All your wounds,
Not anymore, when they've created you.

So embrace this image,
The world gave you.
Own it with pride, that you are YOU.

Let's fill in the shoes,
As the convenient heads,
For the world to degrade, and express distaste.

Nobody sees, nobody knows,
That you're a ward of pain,
And it kills you beyond.

Don't give up,
Not to their words,
Fight for you, for you are worth the love.

So let's be the villains,
But,
A bit different somehow,

Let's kill'em with kindness,
When all they expect,
Are bombs.

Let's be villains indeed,
But,
To their villainous growth,

Let's save ourselves,
For that is revenge,
Sweeter than throwing bombs.

Be the villains,
To,
The villains they thought,

Be them with pride,
For you,
Have risen above the cause.

  • Comment from author about the poem: There is a world of happiness and peace for everyone who seeks it. Whatever your role, whatever the title the world gave you. Be the villain to their idea of how they want you to be. Show them your reach, and how you have risen beyond their dreams.
