I guess I love you..

nataliechavarria

It’s been two months since I have been married and boy has it just been the same since the last 4 years. The wrap to a wedding has officially come to end. Photos are in. Video is close. Thank you, cards have been, sent. Unnecessary items sold and gifts in their place. Everything has been wrapped but one. I haven’t changed my last name. At first, I blamed it on never having time for it or the wait at the DMV already getting to me. But it is more than that. I have always known it is. Changing my name means more than I thought. My last name is my last tie to you. One that I have for sure thought I have torn through. One that has transpired to a blocked number and no contact. One that mourns for the person I wish you could’ve been but one that you aren’t. That is my last tie to you. So here’s to you, I guess I do still love you.
