Ghost of Lily May

Buglet

Its body lays there,

underneath the tree,

it lays there

alone.

silently waiting

for the next person to meet.

It used to be a girl,

with auburn hair,

and eyes of green.

The object of obsession,

was she,

he watched her from the window,

from her door,

and in her house.

he ripped her from her bed,

and dragged her down the way,

she cried out

fear in her eyes.

and now,

she lays beneath her tree,

with her auburn hair now dark,

and her eyes dull and gray.

It lays beneath that tree

the ghost of lily may.
