When it dawned

theunnamed

How cruel could I be
to live a life void of light
numb to the emotion of others
twas labelled self-exile

To live for myself alone
believing it was meant to be so
i put a smile on
from my amusement alone

Yet faux curtain draws
to the scenery of a gloomy circus
an ill fated one man show
Fading laughs as this act comes to an end

  • Comment from author about the poem: There were many inspirations for this poem, which no longer hold any meaning to me at this very moment. This wasn't the only I wrote in this series neither would it be the last poem to be authored by me. I hope you enjoy the transition of my downcast self into who I am now, a little downcast but not miserable. Cheers
