Making self discoveries take a long time
Like finding this missing puzzle that
Suddenly seems to fit
But in which way
And when it hits
So fast and sudden
I was caught unprepared
It was not joy that filled me when I finally found the answer
But a long and hard process of accepting who I was
And how I had changed

Sounds like the 'long and hard process' has been worthwhile if I take this beyond the neat simple little portrayal of a moment in your personal development. I liked that very much despite not being very fond of introspective poetry.
