Simplest Form

MoMurray

I dare not ruminate on such musings with too much conviction

For fear if they permeated beyond even a taste bud

they would surely crumble, under the gentle pressure of air

Thus is the tender anguish of longing;

The resolute cramp of ‘us’ and ‘we’

A stretched out scrawling of   G   o     o       d           b            y                    e

So it might claim even a breath more to finish the term

The bittersweet taste of grapefruit and pomegranate

how the heavens never banish rain to earth the same way twofold

In the simplest form possible:

I miss you

    Hence farewell is the choice for a momentary parting although its nuance gives a softer feel to that of the more permanent feel of 'goodbye.'
