Dawn wakes me gently-
then it shakes me.
What to do with this day?
The corporate hustle left a dusty trail of truths and strengths unknown.
Horizons abroad await,
Await,
Await albeit the engine feels out of steam.
What now I ask with waivering vigor?
Dig deep my migrating ami, for down within lies a power untold
It awaits,
It Awaits for you to behold

- Comment from author about the poem: As a family we undertook the challenge of leaving all that was familiar behind; to cross shores and experience a new chapter. Daily the ask is choosing to embrace the new: from stretching skills to finding friends and navigating the grocery aisle at the local convenience store. The learning, thus far, is to be humble and acknowledge that the process is more a marathon than a mile and that red tape cannot be rushed.

Plenty more for us to behold - including the material in your 'Comment from...' Could place it on your Public Profile, or to my mind there's nothing wrong with some narrative poetry...
Have a good stay here Nicole.
