Prisoner

arealhorrorshow

I awake
To a pounding in my head
Foreign thoughts
I slowly came to dread
Louder I found
They grew with the beat of my heart
I couldn’t find the ending
Let alone the start
Darkness I tried
To drown them out with black
But the harder I tried to have them go
The stronger they came back
The bars are reinforced
The position held is clear
I’m a prisoner here

Your pins here: I like the form; not always quite sure of the messages.
I'm pretty certain someone will roll up and contradict me....
