Narrow Margins
The olive branch
he once
held out for her
Now lies broken
and discarded ..
Consigned
it seems, to the
margin of an
otherwise empty
page ..
Yet he never
once thought,
even for
the very briefest
of moments
he would regret
quite so much,
ever loving you
and all in spite of her ..

Have I met the gal in this fine write?!
Don't tell me you aint keeping tabs Mr O .. Cheers though 🙂
But there are so many gals, I lose track! Did I make that bit up?! lol.
A few of these broken branches have been nicked while I wasn't looking and used during the Palm Sunday procession.
don't try and hang that one on me sir .. I just write about it 🙂
Wouldn't dream of such a thing, N! Pity though that them perfect branches are broke. Hope she reconsiders. And as an afterthought fortunate they weren't used to give a sound lashing in response.
you don't just happen to have a bit of swedish or bulgarian in you do ya 🙂
Not that I know of but one never knows. My dad worked at the Nitro Nobel (a Swedish company) that wouldn't count though.
I do believe there may just conceivably be unresolved issues there, Nev..
neva leave an issue unresolved, unless you like going round and round and round and .. 🙂
Regret for ever giving true love makes its telling so needed to those who broke every olive branch offered and are now losers. Hope the sting reaches home Nev. in this piercing piece...............x
I know it probably sounds like some old cliche .. but bless you Fay .. x
There are those regrets that now and again rear their ugly heads and give pause for thought. Conflicted with past and present, it is a difficulty that often evades resolution. Powerfully worded my friend!
there just happen to be a few occasions when I have no qualms whatsoever about repeating my self .. and reading you here, is just one such occasion .. what an absolute treat to have reinforced the already well-established belief that you think similarly to myself Bella 🙂 x
