The Semi-Colon

Semi-colon

There is a literature device 

Thats different in everyone elses eyes,

Some may see it as just a brief pause 

But how i see it 

Pease listen I need you to stop and hold your horse

The meaning is more than what i once thought,

Its a sign of how someones mental health may have declined,

And the fights taken in need to survive,

The thoughts that drown are constantly inside,

And the feelings of aches and pains 

Will you ever survive?

As you hope to stop being trapped inside 

 a slow, suffocation like your not alive 

Some thoughts make take advantage of what is there and use feelings to make you cry with despair 

But see this device has a body and a head, 

And can demonstrate many different things that are in peoples head 

For people who are lucky to not have suffered wont understand the significance 

Of a semi colon 

But one thing I know, that should be shared 

Is a semi colon and what it may represent 

The feelings of depression,anxiety,mental health

 And in  worse cases even suicide 

But the fact you continued shows you winning the fight,

Ive always been told to never give up 

And the colon is what really makes this up,

For a semi colon is for when an Author could have ended the sentence,

But instead continued.

So for me and many others this is what a semi colons meant.
