And Life is a Dream

M. Evermore

And life is a dream

That I wish I could mean

Setting sail across the stormy sea

Up in the sky,

Oh, I flew so high

And life is a dream

I don’t mean

And there’s something about

Running away

Which makes me want to cry

In hope or pain,

I’ll never know

But maybe I do inside

And life is a dream

I wish could mean

And I’m stuck inside the mundane

And life is a dream

I wish I could need

Oh lord, please help me cry

And I’m just falling

Flying and hiding

In the clouds of white

And life is a dream

I wish I could mean

Someone hold me tight

And life is a dream

I’ve yet to dream

But I’m falling asleep

Tonight
