The background turned into all eyes as well
No dragging them off stage
No stopping the Channel 4 show or outrage
There would have been kids still up seeing that
These times are so wrong and that's a fact

if you ask me to define callous indifference
in the name of zealot activism,
I'll offer you a snapshot of modernity
devoid of context and accountability!
(and it all starts at our universities
sadly)
but the worst part
is instead of fostering empathy and acceptance
(as it should)
such actions only insure further alienation
which is all part of the gimmicky sensationalist, design
since society has failed
in segregating humanity by skin colour
and financial capabilities
its next avenue for divisive propaganda, tricks
is sexual preference and self-identity paths...
it's all just so pathetically sad
still
we endure, discuss, think
and forge a horizon
where we can overcome, those chaotic storms
in store for us,
till it's all Shakespearean, 'sans'
too late
and we can all, finally
get some decent rest...
