Beautiful Venice

Eugene

This beauty of renown

That is Venice.

A place to spend time

To breath in

This miracle

Of joy,

This gift

Of splendour

Floating as

On wings

In soft rays

That kiss.

Romantic love,

In silent streams

Flowing

In our dreams

To vaporize

As a mist

To disappear

And be no more.

Tranquillity

Flown away,

Her peace is gone

In this noise

This monster

Pressing down hard

To where the waters splash

On shores

Lined with trojan horses

Waiting for the night

To sink,

This star of the sea.
