I sit in a shady place
upon a hill lingers my gaze
two children putting up a race
a gloomy smile adorns my face
the darkness of my room at home
envelopes my heart like dimming foam
not for once could it leave me alone
even when the sunlight shone
and there i hear a single bark
they give me a flower within the dark
a pitch black soul was infused with a spark
in the middle of New York's Central park
