I wish I were a bird
Free to fly and soar
To travel round the world
With chains on me no more
If we were birds
I’d travel with my friends
Wherever the wind may take us
We’d fly til the world may end
We’d fly fly fly
We’d fly so far away
From all that the world may bring
Pretend it’s all okay
Everything will be fine
What could go wrong
As I’m flying round the world
I sing my freedom song
I sing about my friends
About my loving family
Anything that brings me joy
That makes me happy
So if I were a bird
Free to fly and soar
I’d fly away from all my troubles
May my chains be here no more
