Hear a just cause, O Lord, attend
To my prayer, me defend
I pray unfeigned, my plea it true
I bring it now to you
Let my vindication come, for
I trust in you here sure
Look on the things that upright be
Justice, equality
You have tested my heart, and me
Have searched and it do see
That there no evil way in me
My mouth speaks faithfully
Concerning the works of people
Your word is my guide all
To keep me from wrong paths, and true
I shall e'er follow you
Hold up my steps in your paths, so
Your right ways I shall know
Keep me, that my footsteps not slip
