Autumn

Shamma Aldhaheri

Your eyes remind me of autumn,

the perfect season.

Cool days and dark nights,

fuzzy socks and comfy sweaters,

Lit candles and hot chocolate,

mid autumn rain showers

The cinnamon-scented air.

Let’s visit the bookstore around the corner,

Let's pick some daisies on our way home.

Let’s bake cookies and read novels,

Let’s get comfortable under the sheets and listen

to the rain as it pours.

Let's embrace autumn.

                           -because you’re my favorite autumn.

Autumn is literally my favorite and reading this made me so happy and sad at the same time.
