I never knew there was so much to rail branches. Well, I know now from this fine write.
This is a standard comment I make when I stand back in amazement at poems! lol.

By that token, being almost always amazed, I don the stunned mullet look!

I read your words and contemplated
took me back to when i first came across these memorable lines by that great Poet of untrodden paths:
'So was I once myself a swinger of birches.
And so I dream of going back to be.
It’s when I’m weary of considerations,
And life is too much like a pathless wood
Where your face burns and tickles with the cobwebs
Broken across it, and one eye is weeping
From a twig’s having lashed across it open.
I'd like to get away from earth awhile
And then come back to it and begin over.
May no fate willfully misunderstand me
And half grant what I wish and snatch me away
Not to return. Earth’s the right place for love:
I don’t know where it's likely to go better.
I'd like to go by climbing a birch tree,'
        from Robert Frost's, 'Birches'
        (thank you! dear Poet
        a brilliant read)

Thanks to you as well, dear Mek; for bringing me back to Frost! He really put thought into word quite familiarly.

This short snapshot of a poem dives deep into my heart and soul. I have live oaks show branches are covered with Spanish moss that this so reminds me of. At times an orchid will flower them. Nature is truly beautiful. A great write.

That is absolutely spot on, Soren! The branching out at exemplified primarily by trees 🌳 and the proliferation of orchid and fungi. Glad of it, your dive and recollection. Rik.
