When Your Sinking

Carmen Barnett

When your sinking are you thinking how did I get here
As life immersed you, or cursed you because you didn’t adhere
You hold your hands high to the sky for someone to come to your rescue
But no one sees you, it’s getting desperate what do you do
Now your fully submersed, the situation is getting worse, your turning blue
You don’t want to perish, should you have cherished the life given you

Then you awake
Someone has resuscitate
And changed your fate .You’re alive
So glad you’ve survived
Now able to breath
Your soul’s been retrieved
It starts you thinking
Who‘s saved me from sinking
