I boast in Jesus

Ugochi Anya

I boast inJesus

Nothing of me came into the show

I was brought in ,in wedlocks

With chains tied on my hands

I boast Jesus

He came into the scene

And set me free

He came as gentle as a dove and

Poured a kiss of love into me

I boast Jesus

I will tell the world about him

I will brag his name before men

I boast in Jesus

I was wounded in my sins

Yet his wounds to redeem me was heavier than mine

My weight of guilt he carried on his shoulders

He acted as if it wasn't painful

He made sure I didn't see him cry over me

Then he poured himself like a drink

I drank the all of him

When I recognized it was him.

My teeth turned and my lips changed

I saw myself become a being of another kind.

I saw my hands move without control

I saw my body act differently .

I boast in Jesus.

It's a new dimension

It's a new pattern

It's a new way of life

I no longer take a glimpse of how I should be.

I have the nature of immortality that dwells in me

I live with the immortals whose ways have become mine.

I'm not precarious now,

But the reality of the world, is holding me.

And my life he has enveloped into his hands

When I jump

I'm not scared of my feet having injuries.

He carries me daily.

I boast Jesus .
