Blessings

Tayama

Her hair has turned gray
Her smile a bit frayed
Her dress a touch worn
Her mood more forlorn
She likes to sleep in more these days
Which gives me more time to look at her and wonder…
Why me?
Why us?
Why this life?
Darkness for us is drawing near
And that’s ok, we’ve been blessed by so many years
God, I love her
Lord, may I ask that we leave together?
To whatever…
Waits for her and I
She likes to lay in the grass and look at the sky
What do you see baby?
I believe she knows why
Whatever that reason may be. I’m ok…
As long as there is room for both of us…up there…way up high.

    A heart-touching poem indeed,
The poet brings not only tears,
But awe too to move the heart,
Philosophy is also mixed in words,
I am moved by its theme greatly!
