        A wonderful longing feeling accompanies this poem. It seems somehow wistful and I can feel the distancing as the poem reaches its end. I loved the first two lines "My thoughts are with you in the scattering of the leaves"

          As soon as I started the music I knew that this one would sweep me away. A favorite musical piece accompanies this gorgeous poem. How thoughts, over time grow fainter, and yet sweetly linger. This is such a fav dear poet!

            Thanks Bella , what we speak of here is a sonic link between music 🎶 and poetry that I have for so long forgone since the music 🎵 that accompanied my poetic journey began focusing on and included the natural music that surrounds living, I.e. breathing, the pulse in the wrist, the twinkling of stars ✨ etc. Thank you so much for pointing that out.

              This is not the first time you have spruiked autumn recently, Rik..... a little disoriented in time and space?
              As someone who, after all this time, still attempts to come to terms with a reversal of the seasons, I find that you don't help.

              However, as a tribute to those who are in the midst of autumn, it's rich nostalgia should engage.

                I feel the dilemma Dave. Online poetry has my time zones even more messed up. Per arbitrary policy I had long ago decided to as a standard procedure join them meaning go with the northern hemisphere clock online as there are but a few “southerners” about. And only to raise the flag of the south when situation calls for. Hope the reversals are NOT worse because of my offerings.
