A Seed Planted

DestinysPerspectives

Melodies wrapped around my soul in moments of time.

A story just like mine sang with the intensity I felt inside.

Escapism in a new perspective I had yet to know.

With age a new understanding each time the song played.

The rhythm and words soothing me to sleep.

Realizations of how small the world is,

when I have felt the same emotions.

My life written through their lyrics.

Bonding with friends over our shared

pain through the emotions in the words.

Learning to write my own lyrical story.

Once a song I only knew now a poem

everyone knows.

If their creative vision can be seen so can mine.

They had no idea a seed was planted,

in a child's heart.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem is very personal for me. Music has always kept me sane throughout my life. Every memory has had a song attached to it. I felt like this poem really captures what music has been for me. If you relate to it I hope from your perspective I wrote the description of what music is for many people justice.

Awww thank you! I really appreciate your comment! Have you ever heard of, "Sleeping At Last"? Their music is really poetically beautiful and soothing. You might find some inspiration from the lyrics and melodies. If you are looking for really upbeat creative music I love the song Lucy and the Diamonds by the Beatles. It brings out my out of the box creativity. I am sure you know the song of course. Also anything by Queen is amazing to brain storm ideas with. Just some recommendations! I have more but this comment is already a novel lol!
