Someday.

hapadalecki

Some days I’m flying high through the sky, living my best life.

Some days I’m hiding under the ground, waiting to be found.

Some days I laugh with him and forget about you.

Some days I cry with him and remember you.

Some days I can look in the mirror and say “it’s her loss”

Some days I look in the mirror and say “I’m lost”

Some days I’m okay.

Some days I’m gone.

Then there will be the day i won’t remember you.

There will be a day I’ll be able to look at myself and be happy without you.

Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but some day.

Some day I’ll be me again. Me without you.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem is about losing a friend and not truly being okay afterwards. It may not be today, but you’ll be okay eventually. That’s what I’m trying to represent. I hope you enjoy and understand my words. I’m still learning.
