Weathered and
faded whispers remain
shadows still in the
place where they lay
echoes of our past
walls can’t contain
kisses we shared like
the scent of hay
glass windows twinkle
like your sweet blue eyes
pale moonlight splashed
on shoulder length hair
soft fingers elicited
your deep seated sighs
your spice flowed
as I kissed you there
cracked wood now accepts
the rains caress
like you did mine on
hot summer nights
arched boards mirror
your curves in that dress
rails hold secrets of
your sweet delights
reign’s in sway are
your gentle hips
joists now creak with
our lovers embrace
the breeze is the fair
brush of your lips
faded sunlight still
brightens your face
