At the Train

joslouis

I wish I could keep going without stopping

It felt like a minute

Sitting at the corner and looking around

Waiting for a stranger to come

Morning and evening

I tried it twice

The sound was beautiful

I'll come back again

    that repetitive drumming of metal
    that track as narrowed destiny
that promise of a seated journey
    train tracks, too
can be a source of solace
    just like
    that shoreline's calming waves...
    (such clarity of vividity
    a dive within refreshing words
    brilliantly executed, dear poet)
    thank you!
