I Sang My Song

E Naughton

When you wake and I am gone,

Know that I have sang my song,

A song so great, it needs no ears,

A song so great, no need of cheers.

I sang outside the halls of life,

A lonely sense of sacrifice,

This song is mine, it needs no beat,

Boastful songs, won't move my feet.

Frozen fate,

For those who stay,

With narrowed views and walls so grey.
