Grasping her hand
Under the moon lit sky
Rain drops trinkling down her face
The stars shining in there place
The record player plays our song
How peaceful it is
To sit by her side
And watch as tiny rivers of rain go by
I glance over at her and she smiles
Her eyes shine bright and you can see them from miles
Her hair soft as a cats fur
She looks as lovely as she can be this hour
Her lips as gentle and soft
She reached a part of me
That i refused to let anyone else to see
As she stands her crimson red dress grasps her thighs
Her arms stretch up to the sky
Almost as if she was attempting to catch the light
Her laugh is as contagious as any
Her heart has been given out to plenty
Now i sit here all alone
Still playing our song
How i missed the warmth of your touch
And all of your comforting hugs
Now i am stuck
With the ghost of you
All alone i sit
Trying to reminisce
All the good things we had
Even if they were bad
Still all alone i sit
Waiting for your arrival
Grasping onto my bible
Still alone i sit
I miss what we had
But thanks to you
I love myself more than ever

- Comment from author about the poem: This poem is simply what I dream to have in a relationship. The ghost of you part plays a big part in moving on from everything good or bad. Sometimes if we love someone enough we have to let them go. And this character in this poem was falling hard for this one girl. They liked every single thing about her. Then in the end they let her go. ( I am using they a lot, simply because I want others to picture them in this situation)
