Poor Cable Management

Euthyphro

I fear that our hearts

Are just messy wires of Pavlovian circuitry

Sorting Rorschachs into bins

Of butterflies, bombs and lovers

Oh, how I fear it so

Because if our minds

Are just Pavlovian circuitry,

And it is no longer my name

That routes through your brain

When you see "love"

Then I, too

Am just Pavlovian circuitry

And the only loss I can rightfully grieve

Is a loss that was destined to be

As I watch time undo our connections
