When I

Tayama

When I am patient…I cannot be angry

When I am quiet…I cannot hurt with my tongue

When I give un-noticed…I give my humility

When I allow my shirt to become wet from tears…I let their pain enter me

When I see the beauty in the ugliness…I see the power of never seeing what is ugly

When I am hungry by choice…I then feel their emptiness

When I do not participate…I deem their cruelty to be useless

When I pray in private…I pray for anyone but me

When I become my humility…I become my reality

When I let my fears fade…I become fearless to help others do the same

When I know thy truth for me…I meet me as seen by my Father

When I love as I awake…I sleep later, in peace, for I have been loved

When I believe…I trust my life, for it is not mine

When I observe hidden…I learn, not influenced by me

When I do not judge…I cannot become that judgement

When I sacrifice and serve…I see love, dignity, worthiness in them

When I spend time on my knees…I then must look upward to see

When I embrace…let tears dry

When I doubt…serve more and see my doubt become their truth

When I bring dark…let me hide until I am ready to bring light

When I complain…I insult myself

When I cannot endure…I remind myself of my cowardice.

When it seems to be the end…I know it is, only of that day.

For tomorrow is the dawn of what I will become…When I do what I know I can.
