I am tired
Are You not tired
Like a CEO with powers to hire
I wish Life would just fire
Tired of Hyenas that follow
A Lion to eat from the work of her claws
Waiting for a day of her sorrow
Just to make a meal of her flaws
Tired of been scolded
For every stone I left
But not rewarded
For the rights in my right
Penury is not just a sickness
But a cankerworm that eat your wellness
Even deep the bone marrows of your wholeness
Leaving you in lack and want of fullness
Tired of eating today's bread
At the expense of tomorrow's reputation
Tired of feigning my stories comic
Foisting my teeth to obey that countenance
Tired of limping from mountain top
Searching for what lies beneath
Tired of admiring the planes from under
When I can actually fly over
I am tired
Are you not tired
Tired of been a wailer
Who then is an achiever
Tired of people telling me dope
What is the essence of giving me false hope
Tired of those that wish I carry a hanging rope
A generation of mixed crops
I am just tired
Are you also tired
If everyone is tired
Let Life just fire.
