Driving Down the Road Listening to Bowie Thinking of Dylan and Poe

J.H.Byron-Nuel

Shadows pass me flying by; street signs  Reflecting light leaving ‘lectric visions trailing far behind.  Strange colored crazy patterns stealing my sleep.  I drive down lonely dark roads trying to escape this maddening state but it’s grim prescience haunts me to this day

Edgar Allan Poe? He seems shifty to me, and strange.

Thank you for reading. You seem to be my only fan. And I think Poe is great I just read a book about his fictionalized youth. It was about how he lost his muse. That piece I you read I wrote when I was about 19. I haven’t written anything new for years. I think I might’ve lost my muse.
