When an Angel cries

tallisman

When an Angel cries

The world stops spinning

Darkness like death

And nobody winning

Pausing for breath

Looking for treason

Buried deep in lies

No room for reason

When an Angel cries

When an Angel cries

The weight of the world

A burden well born

A flag unfurled

The living will mourn

Even the devil saw

Tears in his eyes

The world at war

When an Angel cries
