The Singular Tear.

Sebastian

A single tear is all I can muster,

a single tear from the thought of you,

For I've cried oceans, for I've filled many a bucket

with the tears I've wept for you

the moment that tear drops down my cheek,

its as if I feel nothing

I become so emotional,

and the only thing that could halt those emotions

is that single tear.

if I cannot offer you anything to love me again,

I can offer you, my singular tear.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I know this doesnt rhyme but personally I felt making it rhyme would take away from the raw emotion that I was wanting to portray. so sorry if it sounds wrong!

Sometimes a single tear is all that it takes to make a tear in the fabric of the cosmos. Love does come back on occasion. Welcome to MPS!
