- Comment from author about the poem: So, an email popped up today promising encouragement and a shared journey in writing on substack. But then again, just a few clicks later access could only be granted through a paid subscription. Ehr, what the! indeed! So I wrote this first entry on my account without charging a cent to see where this intricate looking maze would lead. Anyone here heard of or got entangled with Substack?

Ah yes, we stumble along the line - payment requested page, or join up now for a fee page.
Also, we may have about 5 million (well seems liek it) e-mails in our Bin/Trash. Never knew it was so many!

Yeah I didn\'t mention that I do have a substack account, these must be solicitations from substack members.

Nice treatment of a sticky subject. I have never heard of Substack. I listened to the video and can truthfully say that I have never really understood all the internet jargon, so I can't really comment. However, I commiserate with you because I get other emails that pull the same stuff. Actually, I think that they should get stuffed.
