That’s My Boy

Accidental Poet

So now again after thirty years

I’m a canine daddy

With four paws and tail wagging

You’ve made my heart so happy

Yes, it’s true

I’m getting on in my years

But now I’m retired and time for you

The least of my fears

Playtime whenever you want

We’ll go on walks together

Play in the snow

Laugh at the weather

You throw the ball

And I’ll go fetch

Howl at me again

We’ll make the hours stretch

We’ll walk all the day

Only who’s walking who?

As you wonder why

I bag up your poo

My Siberian Husky best friend

 A bouncing bundle of joy

Tail always waggin’

That’s my boy

Thanks Andy, it's been a very long time since I've had a dog, but he is my new best friend.

No, but he does look exactly like that. Waggin' tails are the best.
