Uncomfortable Truth

LauraBerry

Truth can feel upending.
It can touch pain unresolved.
Both pushing us into a pool of grief
and lifting us back out of it

It can shatter our world
all be it a false one
and send us soaring to new beliefs
one´s where love sits.

Truth must be more vital
to our self interest than comfort
and after there is great relief,
a lightness from the truth of it.

A new world opens up
that once was hid but now is bright
and we wonder why in disbelief
we didn´t embrace it...sooner.

You are so right, you know that it really is true what they say,the truth will set you free.
Even if it's difficult to face,we must confront it head on or we will never get past our trials, great piece
