Winter Blues

Winter Blues

Hues of blue and shades of gray

Clouds block out the light of day

Cold soaked bones shiver within

Goosebumps ripple on top of skin

The whole sky looks weary and sad

People scurrying around, coat clad

The heavy air squeezing out joy

At seasonal depression’s sly employ

With hearts as dark as a Winter’s night

Or plants without the hope of light

Down the path that be our plight

Hoping we last through the long cold fight

such a relatable and thought provoking read,
    thanks for sharing, dear Poet
(strange how at times our moods are reflected by the seasons
as-if, we have the power to manifest our will upon Nature's weather, directly
    and yet, we forget
how we once had Spring blossoming in our house
while tornados, lashed at our doors
    what helps
is to cherish the good weather, we're gifted
    while not deflating, completely
as one more balloon of hope
is burst by that callous fate's, gust of wind
maybe, then again what do I know?
'i still carry umbrella's in June
    and defy landlocked snow roads
    in my t-shirts...')
    lol
